Susmita Chakravarty
Founder, Eastern Staple
Susmita Chakravarty has always been a teacher — someone who believes in nurturing people with care and kindness. When the world slowed down during the pandemic, her home kitchen became her way of reaching out. What started as a few meals cooked with love slowly grew into Eastern Staple — a heartfelt effort to bring simple, comforting food to those who needed it most.
Today, she leads a family of over 50 people who share her dream. Together, they’ve served more than half a million meals — each one cooked with the same warmth that once filled her own kitchen. For Susmita, this journey has never been just about food. It’s about people, hope, and the joy of serving from the heart.

Indrajit Lahiri is a name synonymous with food, stories, and strategy. Known to many as Foodka, he has spent years uncovering Bengal’s culinary heritage — exploring hidden eateries, forgotten recipes, and the people behind them. But beyond storytelling, Indrajit has built a strong reputation as a hospitality consultant, guiding restaurants, hotels, and cloud kitchens across India to turn ideas into successful F&B brands.
Through his consultancy, he bridges creativity with practicality — helping businesses define their identity, streamline operations, and connect with their audience in meaningful ways. Backed by years of hands-on experience in the field, his approach combines the soul of a storyteller with the precision of a strategist.
